SPE-GAIA

Creating actions to address the planet’s sustainability challenges

The Gaia Summit is organized by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), a non-for-profit professional association with over 124,800 members in 134 countries.

With an aim of fostering sustainability leadership, the two-day Summit will be highly interactive allowing participants to engage in deep discussions with experts and peers about the opportunities and challenges of connecting systemic complexities with their day-to-day operational practices and decision-making.

The 2022 edition featured interactive sessions, presentations that included breakout room opportunities and keynote speeches delivered by guests from the SPE Executive Committee. Some of the sessions entailed a panel discussion format rather than a presentation on a specific topic that was selected.

The 2023 SPE Gaia Summit shall be international, extending beyond the region and gathering thought leaders and experts from around the globe.
