Energy Development Oman (Energy Oman) has launched its second Omani rial-denominated Sukuk issuance, opening subscriptions to institutional investors until 12 November 2026.
The offering has an initial value of OMR 50 million, with the potential to expand by an additional OMR 25 million. The five-year, Sharia-compliant Sukuk carries a fixed annual profit rate of 5%, distributed quarterly.
Structured under the Islamic financing principles of Ijarah and Wakala, the issuance provides an additional investment avenue supported by Energy Oman's energy assets.
Following the institutional subscription phase, individual investors will be able to participate from 18 to 30 November 2026, with the Sukuk expected to be listed on the Muscat Stock Exchange around 10 December.
Bank Nizwa and National Bank of Oman are serving as joint issue managers, while Oman Investment Bank will facilitate secondary market liquidity.
The issuance forms part of Energy Oman's broader financing activities and contributes to the development of Oman's Islamic capital markets. Investors should note that capital is not guaranteed.
